For most visitors, Shark Valley is the simplest Everglades choice: the paved loop is flat, wildlife is frequent in the dry season, and the tram solves the distance for people who do not want to bike. Homestead works better if you want the Anhinga Trail area, the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center, or a longer drive toward Flamingo.
Biscayne National Park is different because most of the park is water. The Dante Fascell Visitor Center is useful, but the main return usually comes from a boat, snorkel, sail, or island trip run through the park partner network.
Should You Rent A Car In Southeast Florida?
