Calling The United States From Vietnam

A US number called from Vietnam should be entered as +1, followed by the three-digit area code and seven-digit local number. The format works on most mobile phones and avoids remembering a carrier-specific international access sequence.

Vietnamese networks may also accept 00 1 followed by the US number. The plus-sign format is simpler because the phone converts it to the correct international access code.
